LEIPA is a medium sized family owned business, controlled by a Management Holding entity. LEIPA is a world leader in turning waste paper into high quality LWC papers.Our production facilities are located in Schwedt, Schrobenhausen and Bucharest, and in addition to Germany, there are sales companies in the UK, France and Poland.

History

It all started in 1847, when Michael Leinfelder acquired a small paper mill in Schrobenhausen Bayern. His son George took over his fathers handycraft business and built the first paper machine in 1859. Therefore it is the real founder of LEIPA group today. On 01.01.1999 took place the merger of Georg Leinfelder GmbH + Co. and Schwedt Papier und Karton GmbH in the LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH, with headquarters in Schwedt/Oder.
