Pinstripe's primary business activity is the provision of print, print management and general marketing services to a diverse range of public and private sector clients. Our comprehensive manufacturing operation means we can provide an end-to-end print solution.
Pinstripe Print Limited was incorporated on 1 May 1998. Initially the directors set out to develop a sound business supplying a quality design and print service. Carbon Bananced Publication Printer
In January 2013 Pinstripe were declared a Carbon Balanced printer.
To achieve this, we undertook an extensive analysis of our activities and CO2 output. This was then independently examined and verified to confirm our CO2 impact. We then committed to balance this, thus ensuring the impact was neutral – ie ZERO CO2 output.
We are the first printer in the Midlands to become a Carbon Balanced Printer – demonstrating Pinstripe’s commitment to the environment.
The benefit to our clients is that the printed products Pinstripe supply will be Carbon Balanced – meaning, they will have a ZERO CO2 impact on the environment.
This will have a direct effect on our clients environmental emissions.
Councils, Universities and many others are already showing a huge amount of interest in this offering.
Colour Quality Management – ISO12647
Of particular note, is Pinstripe attaining the BPIF ISO12647 colour management scheme certification in January 2014. This UKAS accredited certification, establishes a UK first for Pinstripe, in becoming the first B2 printer in the UK to achieve this vitally important colour standard.
Developed by the BPIF, the ISO12647 colour management scheme is the only scheme where certification is accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). Hence, it is the only scheme, which gives a totally independent certification and is completely separate from any manufacturer.
The scheme is a certification with full global recognition that requires printers to operate a colour quality management system, which is independently audited by a third party specialist auditing body. To attain certification, Pinstripe had to pass an independent and third party audit of both the management system and a test product, and do so annually.
The BPIF ISO12647-2 colour quality management certification scheme is the standard upon which most serious printing specifications are based.
The scheme covers a range of printing conditions, including sheet fed and web offset litho printing and various paper types, and defines the requirements for predictable and reproducible print quality. By attaining certification, print companies can run print campaigns at different locations using a variety of technologies to the same exacting standards. The scheme enables production to be standardised, providing consistent colour reproduction regardless of the production process or substrate, thereby reducing wastage and allowing faster make-ready times to be established.
