Today's pulp and paper producers uses Solvay chemicals, like hydrogen peroxide and caustic soda for preparing, for bleaching and processing the various types of wood pulp, i.e. chemical pulp (either ECF -Elementary Chlorine Free or TCF -Totally Chlorine Free bleaching), mechanical pulp and recycled pulp.



Market Focus

Solvay is the world�s largest producer of hydrogen peroxide, persalts and related specialty products with facilities in Europe, the United States, Asia-Pacific and South America. Closeness to the customer, excellent logistics and a collaborative network of production sites are a key factor for growth in the peroxides business. Solvay also produces other additives for paper pulps (sodium bicarbonate, �) as well as products used in the production of paper (PROXITANE� peracetic acid, precipitated calcium carbonate, etc...).
