As reported by Rod Fletcher of Print Monthly, paper manufacturer Mondi has launched an online campaign as part of its celebrations to mark World Forest Day and World Water Dayrespectively held on March 21st and 22nd.
The two specialist global days are aimed at showing the importance of forests and sustainable freshwater resources. The firm will host a microsite that will give visitors the chance to win specialist environmental prizes by answering a short trivia question. Prizes on offer include reusable stainless steel water bottles and backpacks, all aimed at reminding visitors to get back to nature and support the global campaignswith the competition running until the end of March.
The two specialist days are aimed at raising awareness of both the global importance of forests and the need of sustainable management of freshwater resources. Marketing and sales director of uncoated fine paper at Mondi, Johannes Klumpp, says sustainability is key for the firm, adding: Together with air emission reduction, the responsible management of forests and water consumption is the driving force behind our green range of sustainability produced papers.
