Munksjö has announced today that it has become a member of Two Sides and a supporter of the Two Sides campaigns, which promote the sustainability and the effectiveness of print and paper.

Two Sides promotes the responsible production and use of print and paper and dispels common environmental misconceptions by providing users with verifiable information on why print and paper is an attractive, practical and sustainable communications medium.

Munksjö is an international paper company producing select specialty papers, which are central elements in the design and manufacturing processes for customers. Its unique product offering includes for example Decor paper, Release Liners, Electrotechnical paper, Abrasive backings, Graphics and Packaging paper and Interleaving paper. Munksjö pulp and paper enable customers worldwide to design and produce high-value products at lower costs and with low environmental impact. Munksjö is strongly committed to developing its business in a sustainable manner and strongly believes in the inherent sustainability of paper and in the need to communicate it effectively.

Jan Åström, President and CEO of Munksjö, says: “Two Sides communication program is fully in line with our vision of paper in the modern world and our core values for efficiency and sustainability. “Made by Munksjö” stands for: Intelligent use of modern paper technologies for high-value product design in an efficient and environmentally friendly way”.

Martyn Eustace, Director of Two Sides and Print Power, responds; “It’s great to have a company of Munksjö’s reputation joining this global campaign. There is so much mis-information about paper and we need to remind users everywhere that our products are based on renewable and recyclable materials that will be available for generations to come. We know that consumers love the natural properties of print and paper and the Two Sides campaign ensures that our industry’s great record on sustainability is widely communicated.”
