Read On. Get On.

Please sign the petition to get more children reading

The Reading Agency has joined the partnership of organisations behind Read on. Get on. to address the gaps in children's reading skills and confidence. Reading is the key to a child's future: it unlocks their potential and opens up a world filled with possibilities. But not every child has this chance, and 40% of children living in poverty leave primary school behind in reading.

If we don't act now, over the next decade 1.5 million children will have left primary school unable to read well. That's why we're joining the other organisations calling on the UK to Read On. Get On.

Each of the organisations behind Read on. Get on. will give what we can – our time, expertise, voices and funds – and together, we will get every child reading confidently at age 11 by 2025.

Get involved. Use your voice to call on political parties to join us too. Please sign the petition. Follow the link here.
